Welcome to Our Little Burrow

Hello, I’m Heather. I've always been quietly creative, drawing inspiration from the natural world around me.  When Adam and I married earlier this year, it gave me the opportunity to handmake a few items for the day.  That was the beginning of Our Little Burrow. 



Over the past year I’ve been shaping a small studio in Wiltshire and quietly making things - the Burrowfolk (jointed animal dolls with tiny jackets and pockets), embroidered keepsakes and hand painted candles. Today, I’m opening the door.

Most pieces start in my sketchbook and move gently into fabric and thread.  I work one at a time; once a piece is adopted, I don't repeat it exactly.

If you’ve found me while hunting for something personal—a small keepsake, maybe a birthday idea for her, or simply something unusual that feels like it belongs to one person - I hope you’ll feel at home here.

As new characters appear I’ll share them in this Journal: short notes from the worktable, a peek at fabrics, the moment a name sticks. If you already have a picture in mind (a favourite colour, a motif from a place you love, a coat like a grandad’s), you can request a commission and we’ll plan it together.
